Our Administration

English & Spanish

Hello! My Name is Sergio.
I was born in Spain from a Spanish father and an American mother. Because of that during my childhood and adolescence I traveled back and forth between Spain and America. Until finally after high school settling and living in Los Angeles for 15 years. Because of this I am native bilingual with both languages. I have now been in Japan for 5 years teaching both languages and enjoy doing so. I teach beginners using textbooks and various materials and general conversation for more advanced levels. But every student is unique so together we adapt a style that suits and fulfills the student’s needs.

Head Instructor of Ishin Juku

Hello, my name is Makiko. I graduated from Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Department of English and American Studies, mainly majoring in English Education, English and American literature, and translation, and obtained a High School English teacher qualification. Since that time, I have been teaching English for entrance exams for over 20 years, and I have been teaching at Kawai Juku, specifically for entrance exams.

English is a subject that determines your success for university entrance exams. The point is how to improve your English efficiently within the limited time and deadline. How can non-bilingual Japanese improve their English skills? In fact, it is also important for exam English to learn by taking advantage of the commonalities between Japanese and English. We hope that you will be able to use our unique teaching skills.
